The moratorium on agricultural land sale may be cancelled earlier than 01 January 2012 in case of positive voting. Irina Akimova, the first deputy head of the Administration of the President, announced that the last Friday. The experts say that the country is already waiting for moratorium to be cancelled; nevertheless there is much to be done before the land marked is launched. ‘We’ve set an accurate term for the cancellation of the moratorium on agricultural land sale – that is the beginning of 2012. From my point of view we should do everything possible to bring the date closer’, - Irina Akimova noted. She also informed that the two draft laws are now being prepared for their further consideration by the Parliament, that are needed for the moratorium cancellation: law on land market and law on state land cadastre. According to the calendar schedule of the Verkhovna Rada, both of the draft laws shall be considered in the coming autumn.
